How do I double space my essay in Word?

Step 1: Select the text you want to be double spaced.
Step 2: Click on the "Home" tab.
Step 3: Look under the "Paragraph" section in the toolbar.
Step 4: Under the "Paragraph" section select the drop-down menu for "Line Spacing" (three horizontal lines with an up and down arrow on the right.
Step 5: Within the "Line Spacing" drop-down menu select "2" to double space your text.
Step 6: The text is now be double-spaced.
