As a faculty member, do I own the copyright to my own works?

Answer

Short answer: It depends, but generally speaking, yes. Check your collective agreement or contract with the college to find out.

Long answer: Copyright Law can be complex because contractual agreements can add an additional layer (e.g. you give up copyright to your work to a publisher; the publisher now owns the copyright based on the contractual agreement you signed). Contractual agreements take precedence. Therefore, the best place to look regarding whether or not you own the copyright to the work created during your employment is your Collective Agreement, or if you are a faculty member hired on contract, look to your contractual agreement with the college.
